Reflections about google's search function and discussion forum

As you know, Google search engine is a very good solution for doing a research.During the practical 3, I learned about more functions on Google Search Engine.Which I can actually using similar word, brackets and Boolean operators to make the result more accurate.Let's say I want to search the role and usage of nuclear energy sources.What we usually do is to copy the whole sentense to the text column. However, sometimes you will find the result is not exactly what you want.
The more efficient way is, firstly, find the keyword. In this case,the keyword is "role", "usage" and "nuclear energy sources". Then, find the similar words for these keywords. I found "position" and "application" for "role" and "usage".The next step is to apply brackets for them. Because we want to find all the key point in one search, we must make sure all of them are considered. And for doing that, I also need boolean operators.

This is my final searching phase:
(role OR position) AND (usage OR application) AND (nuclear energy sources)
Instead of actual letters ,You can also use "*" to get more information.You will find the result is more related to what you searched for.

For doing a research, you need to have a citation and bibliography.
Citation is important when we doing a research.It is the essential feature in a research work.It actually acknowledge the source of information.Take note that lack of citations is constituted as plagiarism.
Bibliography is actually an extensive list of sources you have consulted as you worked on or thought about your document.In addition to identifying the sources you have cited in your paper, it represents the research you've done in preparation for writing, and it offers your audience suggestions for further reading on your topic.

In the end of EIR class, I participated in a discussion forum. During the discussion, everyone in class shared their opinions. By read thier idea, we can really understand and learn from each other. I think this is a very good way to get ideas.

The assignment for me is to do a research for online shopping website.There are a lot of online commerial website.The website I searched for this topic is TaoBao.It is a very big online shopping website.The turnover just for 2008 is over 99.96 billion RMB.

If a have $500 imaginary money, which go to RMB is over 2400 yuan.Which can really make me to buy a lot of goods.


This rollar skate I found is 158 yuan.Which is about 30 over dolllars.
This bike I found is 240 yuan.Which is about 48 dollars.

In the case I decide to buy items on Taobao. I need to fill the order form.Then I need to have an e-banking account for doing the payment.When I finished the payment.It depends on the supplier is in which part of China, it usually takes 7 to 14 days for the merchandise to come.When I received the item, I need to go to Taobao website to comfirm that I have received the item.By the time you confirm that, if you regret, or the merchandise is not as good as the description said.You can cancel the deal and your money will be returned.If there is no problem, the deal is done.
